BRITTA

Britta was first introduced to the STOTT Pilates method in 2015 while working as a professional opera singer in New York City. Upon moving back to the Twin Cities, she attended classes at a local studio and continued to discover the many benefits of a regular practice. She found that Pilates was an excellent way to strengthen her core while still remaining flexible. Britta was amazed by the similarities in the breath work, posture, and fluidity required for healthy, efficient movement and sound production. During this time, she became interested in deepening her knowledge of body mechanics and conditioning to further enhance her singing and assist fellow singers. This led to enrolling in her first STOTT Pilates course. Her appreciation and enthusiasm for the training soon developed into an interest in becoming a full-time instructor. Britta has trained in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair & Barrels and Injuries and Special Populations. She is best described by her clients as a collaborative, creative, and challenging instructor. Outside of Pilates and singing, Britta enjoys cooking, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her husband, family/friends, her German Shepherd, Wolfgang and Persian cats, Rum Tum and King Tut.
